🗓️ Calendar Events show up several times in my device calendar
With Calendar Sync activated we synchronize Calendar Events shared with you that you haven't declined yet in your device calendar of your iOS or Android device.
Unfortunately until end of January we had a bug in certain Android version where the App was not able to detect that it had already written the events to calendar and thus wrote each event (and the calendar itself) again to the calendar. Leading to events showing up several times. This has since be corrected and if you activated the feature only after the bug has been fixed, this shouldn't ever be a problem.
However, if you had the feature (which was still in labs at the time) activated before, you might still have left-over duplicate calendars and events in your device calendar app. To correct that do the following:
- De-activate the Calendar-Sync in your Acter App Settings by:
Home
➡️Profile Icon
➡️Calendar
and disabling theCalendar Sync
-toggle (or whatever that might be translated to in your locale) - Wait a few seconds. This should clear the current and any other left-over Acter Calendar found on the device.
- Confirm that the calendar and events are gone in your Calendar App (maybe try restarting the App to confirm it reads the fresh cache)
- Re-Activate the toggle to get the feature activated again.
